New Zealand Buck~ GDF KRUGERRAND ~"Randy" 
In 2020, we planned our breeding season to run from August thru the end of September. Fate threw a wrench into that plan when we lost our junior herdsire, RDH Once In A Blue Moon right when we wanted to put the bucks in with the does. Our luck seemed to turn around almost immediately when I saw a Facebook post about an available yearling NZ buck. The post was only 20 minutes old when I saw it. I immediately contacted Chris Johnson at Good Drugs Farm to set up an appointment to see his buck. Fate smiled on us when I saw that post so quickly as the post blew up with interest right after I PMd Chris. I had admired the look of RDH Ways's Ramblin Man, the sire of this young buck, GDF Krugerrand, ever since I first saw him at 8 months old. We already knew how powerful the cross was between our senior sire, RDH Sequoia and genetics from RDH Way Beyond The Blue, an own son of Blue's Son. Then blood from double bred SDR Nanook Onyx Bear, on the sire's maternal side was added in. This brings in depth of body. On the maternal side of GDF Krugerrand we have his mother, RDH Brownie who is an own daughter of GHK Isaiah's Fire. For years trying to locate a daughter of GHK Isaiah's Fire was very hard to do because Dean Hill Kikos kept all his daughters. That says it all about what his genetics brings on the maternal side. Then last but not least we have ECR Roho Grande, the grandfather on the bottom side. This blood also brings body mass to the equation. GDF Krugerrand is dual registered with NKR and AKGAGDF Krugerrand was born and raised on a brush covered western TN hillside. As a yearling, he is long, tall, wide and deeply made. Thankfully he has a laid back attitude because he's going to be a large buck at maturity. As if all the top shelf genetics and conformation is not enough, he is a gorgeous buck to look at with a dazzling black coat covered in gold dapples. GDF Krugerrand's doe herd consists of 13 does.
